Artist Statement

My artistic practice focuses on ceramic sculpture, embodying the complementary relationship between logical thought and intuitive making. The works record the traces of my gestures and movements, reflecting the dynamic and ongoing dialogue between myself and the clay. This process allows the inherent qualities of the clay—its texture, moisture, and plasticity—to actively influence and evolve the form of the work, representing the interaction between rationality and spontaneity. Through a dynamic balance between logic and intuition, my sculptures evoke an interplay akin to the relationship between rhythm and melody in music, inviting viewers to experience this resonance of tension and harmony.
