Robert Milhajlovski

A Journey Beyond

1 August – 18 August 2012

“The work of Art born of the Artist in a mysterious and secret way” Wassily Kandinsky

In this collection of woodcuts and dry point we see landscapes punctuated with abstraction, the variation creates a dialogue between the two styles. It is reflective of the artist’s observations, of an inner/outer world or matrix that sits harmoniously together.

In 1984 Robert Milhajlovski visited the New York Academy of Art and Design and it was there under the guidance of Tim Ross that he developed his printmaking techniques. This then brought him to Melbourne where he studied printmaking further at the Victorian College of Art. In 2011 he completed his Masters in Fine art at RMIT and returned to Macedonia to exhibit his works. This will be his first exhibition at red gallery.
