Kerry Males is a New Zealand born artist that explores art as an action. Focusing mainly on painting, His practice is characterised by violent brush strokes and other forms of energetic gesture that lend a thrilling sense of spontaneity. With no premeditated subject matter, Males is able to capture the embodied experience of making a painting and lets the viewer focus on emotion and reaction.
