Grazia Marin

In the Artist’s Eye

26 July - 6 August 2023

G1

Opening Night

Friday 28 July | 6 - 8pm

Many artists have depicted landscapes and nature for a long time, be it representational art, abstract art, or anywhere in between. In this nature series, Grazia has used landscapes as a scaffolding upon which she explores colour.

Artist Bio

Grazia Marin is a multi-disciplinary artist and creative writer of fiction, songs, poems, and play. She began painting regularly in the 1990s and gained a diploma in visual art, a two-year residency with the Brimbank City Council, and a grant from the Moonee Valley Council. To date, Grazia has had nine solo exhibitions and joined 10 group exhibitions. Initially, her visual arts practice focused on traditional methods and subject matter, but in recent years, Grazia’s work has included more conceptual and contemporary ideas. One area of interest for Grazia is the human form and portraiture. Another interest is socio-political issues. In all her work, Grazia aims to create a story and engage the viewer, especially in her political activist work.
