Operating since 2002, RED Gallery is a touchstone for multi-modal contemporary art and plays a central role in the creative and cultural landscape of Melbourne’s dynamic art scene. The gallery is creatively and strategically lead by professional, award-winning Art Consultants and Curators with over 20 years of international and local industry experience and has hosted over 850 exhibitions encompassing the entire spectrum of art modalities including visual arts, performance, conceptual, installation, multimedia and cross-platform.

RED offers a professional, friendly and supportive environment to emerging, mid-range and established artists working in all mediums, RED combines a strong foundation in strategic management and ethical practice with an emphasis on emerging and experimental modes of creative, cultural production and audience engagement. RED welcome’s exhibition proposals from artists, collectives, curators and students for group or solo exhibitions.

Housed in a converted, historical boot factory, the triple height ceilings, exposed beams and heritage frontage building offer an abundance of natural light and industrial aesthetic. With four individual gallery spaces all equipped with track lighting and a multimedia gallery space RED is capable of shapeshifting to an abundance of creative concepts. Open to new and exciting proposals, that ignite the creative spirit.
