Tania Matilda plays with form and colour within a sculptural ready-made discipline. Her materials comprise board, paper, paint and discarded refuse, which has its own utility and which she deftly augments with a cubist’s eye for fractured representation and a Futurist’s zeal for geometric splendor and energy. Regardless of the original surface, the art she makes of it is beautiful.
