In this body of work, visual artist Steve Leadbeater focuses less on our primal past and adopts a spontaneous creative approach — rooted in the present moment. Allowing the work to evolve instinctively has given the pieces their own intimacy and urgent energy.

Artist Bio

Visual artist Steve Leadbeater draws and paints with wild brutality, like an intuitive child or a mysterious prehistoric culture. His deeply affecting work explores energy, contrasts and inner beauty.

Although Leadbeater has been exhibiting since the early 90’s, his prolific practice has endured for almost 50 years. 

Audiences can expect to be challenged as much as they are rewarded with joy and humour.
