Henry Maas is Fitz-royalty.

Mastermind and lead singer of The Bachelor’s From Prague; creator of the Black Cat Cafe and The Night Cat in Brunswick and Johnston Streets; Blue Diamond night club owner in Queen St; Henry is a true original who aided a working class suburb’s emergence into its Bohemian prime.

Maas will be showcasing his stark paintings as well as sculptures and constructions. His approach to his artwork, and viewers, suggests he is not only an artist and recusant but a comedian, delightfully free from social constraints. His work will make you smile.

Fittingly, red gallery is delighted to host an arts and culture pioneer; operating since 2002, red has nurtured emerging and established local artists for 17 years on St Georges Rd, North Fitzroy.
