Drunk Tank Pink

9 - 27 November 2022

G4

Opening Night

Friday 11 November | 6pm – 8pm

◼︎

Baker-Miller Pink is known as the world's most calming colour. Scientifically proven to reduce aggression & anxiety it's been used for seats of bus companies, walls of housing estates, hospitals, psychiatric institutions and jail drunk-tanks, where it earned its nickname, ‘drunk-tank pink’.

Today Baker-Miller pink has almost disappeared, a curious footnote in the history of colour and now the starting point for the next EP Collective exhibition.

About the artists

EP collective is a group of artists that works across painting, drawing, sculpture, installation and new media. Individual practices are united in their concept-driven approach. Styles in the group span figurative, representational, surreal and abstracted. The collective thrives on the energy it generates as a diverse group, and its respectful interactions as equals regardless of background, education, gender, sexuality or life experience.
