Dealing in curvature, radii and diagonals, this new collection from established abstractionist David Turner draws upon a near half century study of shape and symbol. Reminiscent of Fibonacci’s spiral sequence, the works of ‘Curves Ahead’, while intuitively painterly, are calculated and blue-printed to precision. In a year where one of the foremost staging’s of Australian early modern abstraction, ‘The Field” (NGV) was revisited and restaged, this new chapter is a timely must see. A geometrist’s field day…
