In October last year, 23 years after first living and working in Paris for 10 months as a much younger man I returned to my beloved city setting myself the challenge of approaching and photographing 10 strangers in 10 different arrondissements to turn into an homage back in Melbourne.
This trip was also to prove to myself that after surviving a massive stroke in 2012 I could travel again internationally and turn hardship into something joyful. Paris Strangers is the culmination of a pilgrimage of the psyche.
