The collagraphs and monoprints in this exhibition are a response to the artist’s travels, both in Australia and Asia. Anne Spudvilas creates rich detail in her work by using text from old Japanese and Chinese books in a chine colle process. She is an established portrait painter and an award-winning illustrator of children’s books who also works as a courtroom artist for the Melbourne media. Her work is in collections in Australia and overseas. This is Anne’s first solo exhibition at Red Gallery
