30 July 2021 – 15 August 2021 G.1 Emma Pattenden ‘Translating Place’

Emma Pattenden is a Melbourne based artist and her practice explores a variety of artistry techniques including drawing, painting and sculpture. Her art process and output is extremely intricate, methodical and often meditative. For Emma the details, movements, and feelings are what create a place, and through this, they then create a space. It effects our bodies; physically, mentally and spiritually, a continuing consultation between the environment and our conscious and subconscious.

Her body of work follows a trail of a life and natural form, to present and offer the different emotions and scenes evoked during the physical time in a certain place within the Australian Landscape. It brings forward the experience the artist has had within the Australian landscape, which by no fault became a trail of experience through the great dividing range.

Opening Event: Friday 6 August, 6pm – 8pm (TBC)
