1 August – 18 August 2012: Robyn Dansie – Don’t We All Love to Dream

Gallery 2

Using lost and found images, words, language, colour and pattern Robyn Dansie works use things that already exist. Her desire to reflect on culture, past and present, produces compositions which are both provocative and whimsical. In this series of works Don’t we all love to Dream Dansie explores the impact of our dreams. Dreams represent our experiences on so many different levels and often give us only fleeting glimpses of the thought, the comment, the symbol or the person that initiated the dream. Using a range of materials the collaged or layered affect in these works also represents the multitude of layers in our dreams.
