26 September – 14 October: Winsome Spiller – Archaeology of Practice 2

Opening Wednesday 26th September, 6-8pm

Amongst a chorus of form studies, experiments and inquests in “Archaeology of Practice 2” is a beige painting, painted upon flattened paint tubes. Winsome Spiller clearly and cleverly trades in visual excavation, re-interpretation and a ‘fascination with the fragmentary’. The next iteration of her ongoing “Archaeology of Practice” project (previously staged at Langford 120 gallery in 2016), Spiller looks back towards her prior works digging into, dating, re-assembling and voluntarily acknowledging a new redundancy of previous motives, thoughts and actions.
