We found traces of people but we found nobody…
The swimming-pool series of Tianshu Zheng explores the therapy of self-cure through contemplation, and seeking one’s inner world.
Scenes in the artworks seem as if they are from somewhere unreal or imaginary. Perhaps they exist in the subconscious, in memories and deep emotions; the space of nobody engages everybody’s thoughts and desires… a space where a temporary status could last, or a new mental journey may start.
…There’s nobody, but you.
