Opening Wednesday 17th October, 6-8pm
Polly Hollyoak and Nanou Dupuis have spent the past year pushing their practices in new directions. The body of work presented in this exhibition reveals their transitional journey individually but also as a collaborative approach.
Polly’s recent works have seen elements that have traditionally composed the background of her paintings bought to the fore. Focusing on these linear elements has been an opportunity to revisit the interplay of colour theory, form and materials.
Nanou’s experimental practice resumes an endless research into painting techniques suggesting movement and depth as a nexus to a 3-dimensional visual aesthetic.
Her emphasis on brush marks and material implies a floating feeling and endlessness.
