Light, translucency and the transient nature of shadows within the viewing environment are some of John Owe Young’s fascinations, manifested in the sculptural shapes that comprise Luminous. A talented teacher of design (Visual Merchandising), John Owe Young’s wire sculptural shapes blur the squiggly lines between 2 and 3D, as the artist’s beautiful formations strive to describe the orderly with the random in the pursuit of the unfamiliar.
